Home Study Course - Medical Massage of the Upper Extremities - 8 CEU

This is an 8 CEU Home Study course that consists of a downloadable and printable manual for you to study at your own pace. When you are ready, take the online test. Credit is given after passing the test with a score of 70 or higher. (More information on our Home Study Courses can be found here.)

Upon passing the Online Test, the student will be awarded 8 CEUs.

Medical Massage for the Upper Extremities

This course will go over Medical Massage techniques using OMT, Strain/Counterstrain and Trigger Points, with students giving and receiving all techniques and what effect they have treating pain and disabling conditions of the upper extremities.

This course will introduce:

• Addressing Medical Conditions

• Contraindications

• Musculoskeletal Pain Referral

• Possible Causes of Traumatic Sprain/Strain Injury

• Overuse/Repetitive Sprain/Strain

This course will provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge of how to treat pain and disabling conditions of the upper extremities. Students will be qualified to work with physician referrals.

• Bicep Tendonitis

• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

• De Quervain Tenosynovitis

• Neck Strain

• Rhomboid Strain

• Rotator Cuff Strain

• Stenosing Tenosynovitis (Trigger Finger/Trigger Thumb)

• Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Reporting to CE Broker in Florida and Georgia only. All other jurisdictions, students must self report to Governing Body.
